Veriscope is looking for a full-stack developer on a 3-month contract to help us through our upcoming beta phase by implementing product improvements, resolving bugs, and responding quickly to user feedback across our web and mobile platforms.

Veriscope is a startup that redefines the standard for reliable footage. Our innovative technology allows people around the world to capture content with algorithmic and cryptographic guarantees of provenance and authenticity.
Our goal is simple: build tech that protects eyewitness media and brings back trust in what we see online.
From newsrooms and news agencies to fact-checking organisations, in the age of AI and advanced editing tools, everyone needs authenticated footage. Our protocol provides a chain of custody for authentic eyewitness videos and images with ready-to-use licences.
Who we are looking for
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working within an existing product and codebase, shipping improvements efficiently, and collaborating closely with product and technical leadership.
You will work directly under the direction of the CTO and play an important role in helping us refine the platform during beta.
You should have experience with at least some of the following:
- Next.js (preferred), or experience with similar frameworks such as React or Solid.js (frontend-only experience is acceptable)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments
- Flutter development for mobile applications
- Experience with unit testing
- Personal or professional projects that demonstrate at least one of the skills above
Optional skills
- Awareness or experience with Golang, C, C++, or Rust
- Basic knowledge of cryptography or security-related concepts
- Interest in UI/UX design
Responsibilities
- Improving the UI/UX of existing web and mobile products to create clearer and more user-friendly interactions
- Fixing bugs and implementing improvements based on product feedback
- Contributing to both a Next.js web codebase and a Flutter (Dart) mobile codebase
- Writing and maintaining unit tests for core functionality
- Collaborating with the technical lead to implement product improvements
Compensation
This is a paid junior developer position. Compensation will depend on experience ranging 28k-35k SEK/month.
